hm.

thinking about signing up for this.
i’m not sure…what if i can’t do it? that is a lot of money to spend on something i can’t do. and it will be really tough working running days into my schedule–between teaching & mommy-ing & bryan’s work schedule.Ā

maybe maybe maybe.

  1. Okay, so I'm not allowed to run, but I would totally work out with you if you wanted to ease your way into working out, I'm considering joining a gym to do elliptical and light weights 2 or 3 times a week. I haven't decided yet, but if you were interested, it might help me lean toward the “for” side of things šŸ™‚

  5. DO IT! Running a half this year was one of my proudest accomplishments. Yes, it was hard and time-consuming, but I am SO glad I did it. And since the one you want to do is so many months out, you have PLENTY of time to get in a running routine and build your base. I would run it with you if I lived in Georgia. šŸ™‚

  7. they have a 5k and 10k option for that race, not just mini-marathon option, so i might do one of those. i'd really like to do a 5k sooner though and then try the 10k in march i think…i'll have to see whats going on nearby!

  9. you should!! i've done a 5k, a 10k, and a mini, and all of them were super fun! i agree with erin though, you have plenty of time to train for a mini if you really want to. we ran 4 days a week, every other day, for about an hour each time. and when the miles started getting to about 5-9, which was once a week (and took about 2 hours) we did those on saturdays. it's super do-able! and we even skipped some runs there at the end. but we ran 1mile and walked 1 minute for the mini– we didn't technically Run the whole thing.

but yes! you will never regret training for something. even if you paid for it and somehow couldn't do it come march (due to injury or pregnancy, etc) it would still be worth the money. the money makes you motivated to train! šŸ™‚

  11. i found a jogging stroller on craigslist for only $15 today, & snatched it up, so being able to take zu with me does make me feel like its more doable….ah i just don't want to commit then quit! but that does give me something to think about…maybe just training in itself would be worth it…
