- The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: the Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo (because who doesn’t need to read more about tidying?? i love books like this)
- A God in Ruins by Kate Atkinson (I don’t typically read novels anymore, but this seemed interesting)
- Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot (i love Elisabeth Elliot and my sister in law recommended this one)
- Given Sugar, Given Salt by Jane Hirshfield (i like this poet so i’m hoping i like this book)
- Bringing Up Bebe: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting by Pamela Druckerman (one of my friends recommended this, so though i typically don’t read parenting books, this one might be the exception)
- Lessons From Madame Chic: The Top 20 Things I Learned While Living in Paris by Jennifer L. Scott (to keep with the french theme)
- Hope for the Weary Mom: Let God Meet You in the Mess by Stacey Thacker, Brooke McGlothlin (because of the title)
- Do Not Rise (Pitt Poetry Series) by Beth Bachmann (i love this poet)
- Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full: Gospel Meditations for Busy Moms by Gloria Furman (again, because the title sounds good)
- Two Faint Lines In The Violet by Lissa Kiernan (i sort of know this author and she’s great, so i imagine her book is great too)

Have you read any of these? What are you reading this summer? Any recommendations on books to add to my list?
I just read Marie Kondo’s book and I’m actually blogging weekly as I try to follow through. (I just started updates!) It was actually a very good read. I also recommend “The Character of Rain” by Amelie Nothomb. It was incredible.

Thank you for the recommendation–I’m always looking for something new to read. I’ll be following along with your posts–I love decluttering and it will be fun to read what someone else is taking out of a book that I’m also reading!

I’ve read Bringing Up Bebe and Lessons From Madame Chic. I enjoyed them both very much. I have also read Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full-I think you will really enjoy that one during this season of life. 🙂 I’m currently reading The Charlotte Mason Companion and a book about building a profitable piano teaching business.
